“Dear God, we are here to express our gratitude for all your blessings. You have given us so much, not only providing what we need to live, but in giving us yourself. We are richly blessed, and it is right to acknowledge that you are the source of all good things. Yet this day also brings a mix of emotions to us. We confess our thanks, but also our sadness because of the empty place at our table. We know that death and sorrow were not your original plan, but we also know that you use difficulties to draw us closer to you and to each another. Here and now fill the empty places in our hearts and this empty place at our table. Teach us to savor the moments we have with one another, to rightly remember what we have lost, but also to look forward in hope to what we have promised in the future. We say again, ‘Your love is better than life.’ Thank you for all your blessings, for even through trials and loss you always, somehow reveal your goodness. In Jesus we pray.”

Got this Tattoo in Jarretts honor because he was a great friend and mentor!!! I'll never forget what he taught me about the fire department and life lessons. there is not a day that I think of him. Miss you buddy!!!

I still think of you daily and it feels so surreal. It's like you're just away on a long vacation and will be back any day and then I get flashbacks to that night. Parts of that night I still can't remember. I only remember parts of the drive to the hospital, the rest of the ride there is completely blank. i see your smiling face at my desk everyday at work. I still get people asking me about you or how I know you and I tell them the stories of you and Tyler. He misses you! I wish you could see him! He's growing up so fast! So is Gage. I wish you could be here for your family and to see your absolutely beautiful nieces! And how much your brother has changed! He looks amazing! You'd be proud, I just know it.
We wish you were here instead, but I hope you had a great day in Heaven! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!
